Key Responsibilities

  1. Administrative Coordination:
    • Act as a focal point for programme and project implementation activities in Kenya.
    • Manage travel arrangements, disbursement of funds, procurement, and service authorization.
  2. Project and Procurement Support:
    • Facilitate low-value acquisitions, including obtaining quotes, completing internal clearances, and following up on deliveries and payments.
    • Liaise with UNDP Kenya on financial authorizations.
  3. Data Management & Reporting:
    • Compile, summarize, and enter project data.
    • Prepare reports, track budgets, and flag delivery shortfalls or budget overruns.
  4. Documentation & Office Support:
    • Draft correspondence, update reports, and maintain records.
    • Organize workshops and handle general office tasks.
  5. Compliance & Ethics:
    • Ensure intellectual property permissions for project dissemination.
    • Handle copyright compliance and accreditation for event participation.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Education:
    • Secondary school education is required.
    • A professional diploma in administration or a related field is desirable.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of five years in general administrative services or related areas.
    • Experience working with the United Nations and knowledge of UN administrative tools and procedures is highly desirable.
  • Languages:
    • Proficiency in English is essential.
