Safal Building Systems Ltd is looking for a Project Coordinator to join its Project & Customer Service Team. The incumbent will play a critical role in delivering an excellent Customer Service & Project Delivery. The role holder will play the linkage between internal & external customers through collaboration & communication to ensuring the project is delivered within scope, schedule, and budget.

Main purpose of the position:

Ensure seamless execution of projects by centrally coordinating the internal and external teams in a project execution process. Coordinate internal and external resources, ensuring that projects remain within scope, schedule, and budget

Key responsibilities:

  1. Interface  with  customers  and sales representatives   to handle  both  pre-sales  and post- sales service functions
  2. Organize  product  delivery  and order  fulfilment  activities  such as taking  orders,  giving pricing  information,  determining   appropriate   shipping  methods,  routes  and rates,  etc.
  3. Manage and track customer orders from purchase to final shipping
  4. Maintain   documentation    to track  customer  requests  and inquiries
  5. Address  problems,  such as damages, shortages  and non-conformance    to specifications with  relevant  departments
  6. Execute project management administrative and bookkeeping tasks such as managing invoices, purchase orders and inventory reports, among other financial documents
  7. Schedule stakeholder meetings, document and generate reports
  8. Ensure that all aspects of a project are organized and in conformance with timeline and deliverables requirement
  9. Develop and maintain project performance database that tracks overall progress and achievement of milestones
  10. Assign and monitor resources effectively to boost project efficiency and maximize deliverables output
  11. Report project risks and outcomes to appropriate management channels, and escalate issues according to project work plan
  12. Serve as point of communication between company teams and external resources
  13. Oversee site supervision and provide technical advice in relation to product installation and use

Requirements

  1. Qualifications required:
    1. Minimum academic qualification: Minimum of a Degree in Engineering. Construction Management, Architecture or Project Plannig Management
    2. Qualifications as an added advantage:  Diploma in Project Management
    3. Professional registration:  Affiliation to technical bodies such as IEK,EBK and Project Management
  2. Experience required:
    1. General work experience (years): 5-6 years in Project Management as Project Coordinator
    2. Specific to the position (level/discipline/years): 2-3 years in Project Management with Steel/Construction Industry
    3. Industry:  Construction/Projects Management
