The National Housing Corporation (NHC) is offering industrial attachment opportunities for continuing students to gain practical work experience. This program is designed to help students apply their academic knowledge in real work environments while developing skills that will improve their employability.
This three-month attachment program will expose students to different career fields within the housing and construction sectors. Participants will get a chance to work with professionals, learn new skills, and understand how things work in their chosen fields.

Available Attachment Positions
NHC is inviting applications from students pursuing studies in the following fields:
1. Planning, Quality & Risk Management
- Positions Available: 4
Students in this field will learn about project planning, risk management, and quality control to ensure housing projects meet industry standards.
2. Construction & Project Management (Total Positions: 14)
This department handles housing construction projects. The positions are:
- Engineering (6 Positions)
- Eldoret – 1
- Kakamega – 2
- Nakuru – 3
- Nairobi – 1
Students will gain experience in civil and structural engineering and work on real projects.
- Quantities & Contracts – 3 Positions
Students will learn about cost estimation, contract management, and financial control in construction projects. - Land Survey – 2 Positions
This role involves mapping and assessing land for construction projects. - Architecture – 2 Positions
Students will work on designing buildings, blueprint creation, and 3D modeling.
3. Estates (Total Positions: 7)
This department focuses on property management and facility maintenance. Positions are available in:
- Nairobi – 3
- Kisumu – 2
- Mombasa – 2
Students will get experience in tenant relations, property management, and housing policies.
4. Finance Directorate (Total Positions: 5)
Finance students will gain experience in:
- Financial reporting and budgeting
- Procurement and expenditure tracking
- Corporate finance and public sector accounting
5. Corporate Services (Total Positions: 12)
This department handles office administration and company operations. Positions include:
- HR (Human Resources) – 3 (Recruitment, payroll, and employee management)
- Administration – 3 (Office management and process optimization)
- ICT – 7 (Software development, IT support, networking, cybersecurity)
- Corporate Communication – 1 (Public relations, branding, and media management)
6. Supply Chain Management (Total Positions: 4)
Students will gain experience in procurement, contract management, and supplier relations.
7. Internal Audit (Total Positions: 1)
Audit students will work on compliance, risk assessment, and fraud detection.
Who Can Apply?
To qualify for this industrial attachment program, applicants must:
✅ Be a continuing student pursuing a Degree, Diploma, or Craft Certificate in any of the specified fields.
✅ Be available full-time for the three-month program (January – March 2025).
✅ Have a valid introduction letter from their school confirming their student status.
