Key Responsibilities:
As a Resident Dentist at Strathmore University Medical Centre, your main duties will include:
- Diagnosis and Treatment:
- Conduct thorough dental exams to diagnose oral health conditions.
- Provide effective treatment for dental issues including fillings, extractions, root canals, and preventive care.
- Manage patient records and update treatment plans accordingly.
- Oral Health Education:
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive dental care.
- Advise patients on diet, lifestyle choices, and the importance of regular dental check-ups.
- Leadership and Management:
- Provide leadership within the SUMC Dental Suite, ensuring that the team operates efficiently and delivers excellent care.
- Supervise and mentor junior dental staff and trainees.
- Uphold SUMC’s values and ensure a high standard of service delivery.
- Business Growth and Service Excellence:
- Contribute to the growth and development of the dental services by implementing strategies that improve patient satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Ensure that the dental department meets the needs of patients while maintaining financial sustainability.
- Continuously evaluate and improve services to align with best practices in dental healthcare.
- Accountability:
- Maintain strict adherence to legal, ethical, and regulatory standards within dental practice.
- Ensure all services are delivered in a safe, hygienic, and accountable manner.
- Monitor and maintain equipment and materials in the dental suite.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with other healthcare professionals within the SUMC team to ensure holistic care for patients.
- Participate in regular meetings to review and improve dental services and patient care strategies.
