Role Summary
The Senior System Developer will spearhead the design, development, and optimization of the C3-EWS platform. This role involves creating a robust and scalable system architecture, integrating real-time data sources, and ensuring a seamless user experience.
Responsibilities
1. Design and implement a scalable and secure system architecture for the C3-EWS platform.
2. Develop and integrate real-time data processing solutions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
3. Collaborate with the UX Designer to create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for end-users.
4. Optimize system performance to ensure reliability and scalability under varying workloads.
5. Develop and maintain APIs for seamless integration of external data sources and tools.
6. Ensure the platform adheres to data privacy and security regulations, implementing necessary safeguards.
7. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues, minimizing system downtime.
8. Prepare comprehensive technical documentation for system processes, updates, and user guides.
9. Design the integration architecture to ensure seamless data flow between various data sources (e.g., weather, satellite data, community reports).
10. Offer expertise in handling diverse data sources and ensuring that they can be efficiently integrated into the system.
11. Lead testing and quality assurance processes, ensuring the system meets performance standards.
12. Provide technical training to team members and end-users, fostering knowledge transfer.
13. Provide expertise on the creation of dashboards and data visualization tools that meet the needs of end users.
14. Advise on the best ways to present data to stakeholders for maximum clarity and actionability.
15. Guide the development of monitoring tools to track the system’s performance, such as measuring the accuracy, timeliness, and reach of alerts.
16. Ensure that evaluation frameworks are in place to assess system impact and suggest improvements.
17. Supervise and mentor junior developers, ensuring adherence to best practices and quality standards.
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
● At least 5 years of experience in system development, with a focus on scalable platforms.
● Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#, and experience with cloud-based solutions.
