KPMG Hiring ERP Systems Manager

Our Client in the Agriculture Sector is seeking for a qualified and experienced individual for the role of ERP Systems Manager role. The role holder will be responsible for leading and managing ERP systems across multiple operations in Africa, with the position based in Kenya. The role holder will be part of the Executive Management team and shall report to the Regional Director. 

Key roles and responsibilities

i. ERP assessment

  • Evaluate and map existing systems and business processes. 
  • Analyse current business processes and systems to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and potential risks, along with mitigation strategies. 
  •  Present and demonstrate an upgraded system framework, highlighting process improvements, efficiency gains, and cost savings. 
  • Conduct a comprehensive feasibility study for implementation, including a structured roadmap. 
     

ii. ERP system implementation and integration

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee ERP system implementation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define system requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Ensure seamless ERP system integration with existing IT infrastructure and business processes.
     

iii. Project Management

  • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets for ERP initiatives.
  • Lead project teams, assign tasks, and track progress to meet deadlines.
  • Ensure projects stay within scope and budget, adjusting plans as necessary.
     

iv. Training and Support

  • Design and implement capacity-building programs for IT staff and end users.
  • Provide ongoing user support, troubleshooting issues, and offering effective solutions.
  • Maintain system documentation and user manuals for training and reference.
     

v. System Maintenance and Updates:

  • Monitor ERP system performance and conduct regular maintenance.
  • Implement system updates and upgrades to enhance functionality and security.
  • Incorporate all business processes into a single platform which can be used across all of the group’s companies in Africa.
  • Ensure data integrity and security within the ERP system.
     

vi. Vendor Management

  • Liaise with ERP software vendors to ensure quality service delivery and support.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with third-party vendors.
  • Evaluate and select new ERP solutions as needed.
     

vii. Business Process Optimization

  • Analyze business processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Align ERP system capabilities with business needs to optimize efficiency.
  • Collaborate with various departments to streamline operations.
  • Proven experience in Relational Database Management and Software Development.
     

viii. Reporting and Analytics

  • Develop and generate reports to provide insights into business performance.
  • Leverage ERP data for decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Ensure reporting tools meet the diverse needs of stakeholders.
     

Academic/professional qualification and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience leading ERP project implementations across multiple countries, with at least 2 end-to-end projects successfully executed.
  • In-depth knowledge of ERP systems (expertise in IScala is an added advantage).
  • Proven experience in integrating AI-driven solutions within ERP systems.
  • Good project management skills, communication skills, stakeholder engagement capabilities, and a strategic approach to system optimization.
