The Ministry of Education has received communication from the Embassy of the Republic of Mauritius regarding the Mauritius – Africa Scholarship Scheme 2025. The Government of Mauritius is offering fifteen (15) scholarships to outstanding Kenyan students for Undergraduate, Master’s, and PhD programs in the 2025 academic year.
Scholarship Benefits
Successful candidates will receive:
- Tuition fee coverage for the duration of their study.
- Financial support for living expenses.
- Return airfare on the most economical route from Kenya to Mauritius at the start of studies and back upon completion.
Eligibility Criteria
Undergraduate Applicants:
- Must have a minimum KCSE mean grade of B (plain).
- Must be 25 years old or younger.
- Should possess an original KCSE Certificate.
- Must have strong grades in relevant subjects for the chosen field of study.
- Should have completed secondary education in the last three (3) years.
Postgraduate Applicants (Master’s & PhD):
- Master’s Degree Applicants: Must hold a Bachelor’s degree with at least Upper Second-Class Honours.
- PhD Applicants: Must possess a Master’s degree.
- Must be 35 years or younger for Master’s programs and 40 years or younger for PhD programs.

- National ID.
- Academic and professional certificates.
- Transcripts.
