We are currently recruiting for the following positions:
1. Accounts Assistant II (Job Grade NyNP 6) – 2 Posts
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare, verify, and sign payment vouchers and other financial documents.
- Perform data capture tasks to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Maintain primary financial records, including ledgers, cash books, and registers.
- Ensure the safe custody of Polytechnic’s records and assets.
- Prepare simple management reports on income and expenditure.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Principal.
2. Human Resource Assistant II (Job Grade NyNP 6) – 1 Post
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing human resource policies to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
- Coordinate office services to maintain smooth institutional operations.
- Draft letters of appointment, probation, and promotion for approval by the Human Resource Officer.
- Administer staff appraisal processes and compile annual performance reports.
- Address basic HR queries to clarify employee concerns.
- Record employee data, including absences, performance, and reasons for termination.
- Gather and compile training needs across departments.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.
3. Internal Auditor (Job Grade NyNP 9) – 1 Post (Re-advertised)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise staff in the internal audit function.
- Analyze financial documentation to identify audit issues.
- Monitor implementation of audit recommendations and identify gaps.
- Communicate identified risks to relevant departments and propose interventions.
- Prepare audit reports for management and ensure proper documentation.
- Assess the institution’s risk management process and propose improvements.
- Conduct reviews of internal control systems, including IT systems.
- Train audit staff in computerized audit techniques.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.
4. Audit Clerk II (Job Grade NyNP 6) – 1 Post
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Record all financial information and ensure audit readiness.
- Receive and document bank checks and cash vouchers.
- Prepare institutional checks for taxes, payments, and utilities.
- Update loan and account balances to ensure accurate financial statements.
- Verify accuracy of transactions and postings for financial records.
- Compile and complete tax forms and statutory returns.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.
5. Driving School Instructor III (Job Grade NyNP 4) – 1 Post
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop lesson plans and driving course curricula.
- Teach students motor vehicle operation, road rules, and safety practices.
- Provide practical on-road driving lessons to enhance skills.
- Monitor student progress and offer guidance as needed.
- Instruct students on vehicle maintenance and defensive driving.
- Evaluate driving skills to recommend students for licensing.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.
