Our program consists of the following opportunities:
- 3-Month Industrial Attachment – Designed for ongoing university students. Intakes occur in April, July, October, and January.
- 6-Month Internship – Ideal for recent graduates (within the last 48 months) or those awaiting graduation. Intakes take place in April and October.
- Pupillage – Tailored for students from the Kenya School of Law. Intakes occur in April and October.
Job Descriptions
Human Resources (HR) Intern
As an HR Intern at Safaricom, you will be responsible for supporting the Human Resources team in various functions, including talent acquisition, employee engagement, and HR operations. You will gain exposure to HR best practices and help ensure smooth workforce management.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in recruitment processes, including job postings, resume screening, and interview coordination.
- Support HR administrative tasks such as maintaining employee records and preparing HR reports.
- Participate in employee engagement initiatives and wellness programs.
- Help coordinate training and development sessions for employees.
- Assist in policy implementation and compliance monitoring.
Legal Intern
The Legal Intern will work closely with the legal department to provide support in compliance, contracts, and legal research. This role is ideal for law students or recent graduates seeking practical legal experience in a corporate environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and provide summaries on regulatory matters.
- Assist in drafting and reviewing contracts, agreements, and legal documents.

Finance Intern

Marketing Intern

Audit Intern

Cyber Security Intern

Eligibility Criteria
- Must be an ongoing university student or a graduate within the last 48 months.
- Available for full-time internship during the specified intake periods.
- Applicants can only select one intake per year.
- The internship is a fixed-term opportunity for 3 or 6 months without extensions.
