Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Implementation:
- Execute all livelihoods and resilience activities within Kakuma in collaboration with the Project Officer – Livelihoods.
- Engage with key stakeholders, including target project participants, ensuring active community participation while upholding World Vision’s ethos.
- Work closely with the Project Officer to enhance coordination with government and private sector partners to build synergies and execute project plans efficiently.
- Provide effective and innovative technical support to ensure seamless integration with other project interventions.
Quality Assurance – Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E), Reporting, and Documentation:
- Supervise and monitor project interventions, ensuring adherence to the highest implementation standards.
- Conduct regular project progress review meetings with staff and community representatives.
- Ensure that relevant project data is captured, validated, and updated in the approved Data Management & Evaluation (DM&E) system.
- Work with the project accountant to track implementation expenditures and manage work plans and budgets efficiently.
Advocacy, Engagement, Partnership, and Networking:
- Work with the Sub-County and County Government, with support from the Project Officer and Manager, to leverage financial and human resources for enhanced project sustainability.
- Represent World Vision in relevant forums at Sub-County and Ward levels, ensuring active participation and visibility.
- Strengthen partnerships with government bodies and private sector partners to enhance technical capacity development for farmers, improve extension support, facilitate access to quality inputs, and connect beneficiaries to financial services and markets.
Required Education, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Economics/Agribusiness, Agricultural Extension, or a related field with 2 years of experience specializing in climate-smart agriculture, agribusiness, and economic empowerment.
- OR a Diploma in Agriculture with 5 years of relevant experience in climate-smart agriculture, agribusiness, and economic empowerment.
- Proven experience in coordinating multi-sectoral projects.
- Strong background in working with partnerships, including county governments, civil society, donors, and local community structures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability when engaging with diverse communities.
