We are seeking passionate and qualified individuals to join our team as Community Mobilizers under the Regreening for the Future Project.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning and Implementation
- Collaborate with relevant partners at the county and community levels to ensure the successful integration and execution of research project interventions.
- Work closely with project stakeholders to conduct participatory assessments that inform research design.
- Facilitate participatory planning sessions with community members to develop adaptation pathway strategies.
- Assist in the preparation of various project reports, including situational analyses, workshop reports, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports.
2. Community Engagement
- Build relationships with local leaders, county government representatives, and other key stakeholders to foster community ownership of the Regreening for the Future project.
- Mobilize and organize meetings and events, including scheduling, participation confirmation, material preparation, logistics coordination, and attendance management.
3. Technical Support
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to design frameworks for facilitating adaptation pathways in regreening communities.
- Facilitate the establishment of community-level technical working groups to support project integration into existing and future regreening efforts.
- Conduct capacity needs assessments to determine training and capacity-building requirements for key project stakeholders.
- Promote the adoption of climate-smart practices and sustainable livelihoods among community members.
- Prepare regular reports on community engagement activities, awareness campaigns, and project beneficiary selection processes.
- Support data collection activities, including community scoping and baseline data gathering in targeted project sites.
- Follow up on actions and referrals arising from stakeholder meetings and other project-related activities in coordination with the project team.
4. Monitoring, Reporting, Evaluation, and Documentation
- Collaborate in monitoring project implementation to ensure activities align with community needs and project goals.
- Support quality assurance through organizing and facilitating monitoring visits at project intervention sites.
- Develop an information dissemination and community feedback system to document and address emerging needs as they arise.
- Prepare detailed reports, including weekly updates, monthly, quarterly, bi-annual, and annual progress reports related to project interventions.
- Continuously track project progress and assess the achievement of planned activities and outputs as per the research design and Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) framework.
5. Strategic Engagement, Partnership, and Networking
- Represent World Vision Kenya in key stakeholder forums and relevant networks at the ward, sub-county, and county levels.
- Facilitate linkages between community groups/structures and relevant networks for capacity-building opportunities.
- Strengthen partnerships with county governments and other stakeholders to enhance the effectiveness and sustainability of community development initiatives.
Required Education, Skills, and Experience:
- Degree or Diploma in Natural Resource Management, Environmental Science, Agriculture, Agricultural Economics, or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of two years of experience working with communities in Livelihood & Resilience, Food Security, or Climate Change Adaptation projects.
- Ability to ride a motorbike with a valid license.
- Excellent English communication skills (both oral and written), with a strong understanding of the local dialect and context.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, including email systems such as Microsoft Outlook.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to take initiative and work independently.
- Cross-cultural sensitivity and emotional maturity.
- Ability to maintain performance expectations in diverse cultural settings.
- Demonstrated commitment to gender and youth-focused livelihood and resilience programming.
