We Are Hiring: Senior Manager, Community Development and Resource Mobilization
Location: Headquarters, Nairobi (with 25% travel to other VF sites)
Victory Farms is seeking a highly motivated and strategic leader to serve as the Senior Manager, Community Development and Resource Mobilization. This role is critical in advancing our community development efforts and securing sustainable funding to support our initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategies for community engagement, fundraising, and stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities
Resource Mobilization
- Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to secure financial resources from diverse sources, including foundations, corporations, government agencies, and individual donors.
- Prepare and submit high-quality grant proposals, reports, and other required documentation.
- Manage grant portfolios, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and timely reporting.
- Track and analyze fundraising performance to inform strategic decision-making.
Community Development
- Develop and implement community development strategies aligned with the organization’s mission and goals.
- Build strong partnerships with government agencies, NGOs, and community-based organizations.
- Conduct community needs assessments and develop project proposals.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of community development programs.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, donors, and community leaders.
- Represent the organization at relevant forums, conferences, and public events.
- Develop and deliver compelling presentations on the organization’s work and impact.
What We Are Looking For
- Strong background in community development, with a proven track record of successful fundraising and grant management.
- Deep understanding of the Kenyan development landscape and donor ecosystem.
- Excellent proposal writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in public speaking and presentations.
- Passion for community development and making a social impact.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in grant writing software, financial management tools, and presentation software.
