In this role, you will play a pivotal part in implementing Public Sector Banking Business Development initiatives aligned with our strategic growth plans. You will identify new business opportunities, develop strong client relationships, and contribute to the financial growth of the Bank.
Key Responsibilities
As an NBK Relationship Manager – Public Sector, your core responsibilities will include:
- Business Development and Growth
- Implement the Public Sector Banking Business Development initiatives in line with strategic growth plans.
- Identify opportunities for growth and new business acquisition through market research, analysis, and networking.
- Develop and maintain a strong client and transaction pipeline, converting these into profitable business opportunities.
- Client Relationship Management
- Actively market and promote Public Sector Banking services and products to new and existing clients.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling relevant products and services to maximize client value.
- Ensure day-to-day client relationship management, fostering long-term partnerships with the Bank.
- Customer Experience and Compliance
- Promote excellent customer experience by advocating for customer requirements across bank functions.
- Ensure full compliance with Public Sector Banking standards, adhering to the Bank’s policies and procedures.
- Partnerships and Collaboration
- Partner with Regional Management, Branch Management teams, and Support Functions to increase the Public Sector Banking segment’s market share.
- Collaborate with Branch Managers to drive account utilization and sustainable deposits.
- Drive transactional income from Public Sector Banking clients through effective customer service and cross-selling.
- Market Analysis and Feedback
- Provide feedback to Management on Public Sector Banking market analysis, segmentation, and customer feedback.
- Offer insights on products, credit risk evaluation, and other strategic considerations.
- Risk and Portfolio Management
- Ensure quality portfolio management by identifying risks and implementing mitigations.
- Conduct preliminary credit reviews and make recommendations for new and existing facilities.
- Regularly monitor performing and non-performing accounts within the assigned portfolio.
- Support and coordinate post-disbursement loan monitoring.
Skills & Experience Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Banking, or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
- 3-4 years of banking experience in the financial sector, with at least 2 years in Relationship Management, preferably in the Public Sector.
- Entrepreneurial and commercial thinking with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, persuasion, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organizational skills and a creative approach to problem-solving.
- Integrity and courage to challenge actions within business units and the status quo.
