Key Responsibilities:
As the Senior Relationship Manager, Public Sector, you will be responsible for driving business development initiatives within the Public Sector Banking segment to achieve strategic growth objectives. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Business Development and Growth:
- Implement Public Sector Banking business development strategies in line with the overall growth plan.
- Identify new business opportunities through market research, analysis, and strategic networking.
- Develop and maintain a robust client and transaction pipeline, converting them into revenue-generating opportunities.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Manage day-to-day client relationships to foster long-term business partnerships.
- Promote a superior customer experience by advocating for customer needs and delivering high service standards.
- Collaborate with Regional Management, Branch Management, and Support Functions to expand the Public Sector Banking segment’s market share.
- Product Marketing and Cross-Selling:
- Actively market and promote Public Sector Banking products and services to new and existing clients.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities to enhance product uptake and revenue growth.
- Drive transactional income from Public Sector Banking clients through effective customer service and product cross-selling.
- Portfolio and Risk Management:
- Ensure effective portfolio management by identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Conduct preliminary credit reviews and make recommendations for new and existing credit facilities.
- Regularly monitor performing and non-performing accounts within the assigned portfolio.
- Support post-disbursement loan monitoring to ensure compliance with the Bank’s credit policy and Public Sector Compliance guidelines.
- Market Analysis and Feedback:
- Provide valuable feedback to management on Public Sector Banking market trends, product performance, credit risk evaluation, and customer feedback.
- Conduct market segmentation and analysis to identify growth opportunities and enhance product offerings.
- Compliance and Governance:
- Ensure full compliance with Public Sector Banking standards and adherence to the Bank’s policies and procedures.
- Maintain the highest level of integrity and ethical conduct in all business dealings.
Skills and Experience:
To excel in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
- Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Banking, or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
- A Master’s degree in a relevant field is an added advantage.
- Relevant certification in Business Development or Finance is an added advantage.
- Professional Experience:
- 5-6 years of banking experience in the financial sector, with at least four (4) years in Relationship Management, preferably in the Public Sector.
- Demonstrated experience in driving business growth and managing high-value client relationships.
