To continue this legacy, we are looking to recruit a highly skilled Institutional Capacity Building Manager who will play a pivotal role in developing and managing capacity building programs for our clients. This role involves collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, subject matter experts, trainers, and technical assistance providers, to deliver high-quality services and achieve desired outcomes.


Position Summary: Institutional Capacity Building Manager – IDAS

The Institutional Capacity Building Manager will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing capacity building programs for our clients. The successful candidate will work closely with clients and stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions and will be instrumental in ensuring that our capacity building initiatives drive sustainable development.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Program Development and Implementation:
    • Develop and implement capacity building programs tailored to client needs, including needs assessment, planning, design, delivery, evaluation, and reporting.
    • Ensure alignment of capacity building initiatives with the clients’ strategic goals and development objectives.
  • Research and Analysis:
    • Conduct external analysis and research to identify emerging capacity building trends in various sectors.
    • Provide data-driven insights and recommend appropriate solutions to address client needs.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Management:
    • Identify, engage, and manage external consultants, trainers, and partners to deliver capacity building programs effectively.
    • Establish and maintain strategic relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders to enhance KPMG’s reputation and expand business opportunities.
  • Training Material Development:
    • Develop training materials, manuals, guidelines, and other tools to support capacity building initiatives.
    • Ensure that training content is relevant, practical, and impactful for different audiences.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation:
    • Regularly monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and impact of capacity building programs.
    • Make necessary adjustments to enhance program outcomes and ensure sustainable results.
  • Technical Assistance and Guidance:
    • Provide technical assistance and guidance to clients on capacity building best practices, methodologies, and approaches.
    • Share knowledge and insights with the team to foster a learning culture within IDAS.
  • Business Development and Opportunity Identification:
    • Identify business opportunities for providing institutional capacity building services.
    • Support business development efforts, including concept note and proposal development, to realize growth opportunities.
  • Supporting Internal Capacity Building:
    • Actively support internal capacity building initiatives within IDAS to enhance team skills and capabilities.

Academic and Professional Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree (preferred), or at least a Bachelor’s degree in Organization Development, Business Administration, Management, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in institutional capacity building, organizational development, training, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering high-quality capacity development programs for diverse audiences.
  • Strong knowledge of different capacity building methodologies, tools, and approaches.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of delivering successful outcomes.
  • IT proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Multicultural skills to operate effectively across diverse African jurisdictions.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.

  • Ability to multitask, adapt to dynamic environments, and make quick decisions.
  • Unquestionable integrity and ethical conduct.
