We are currently seeking a Senior Associate – Deal Advisory (Restructuring) who will play a crucial role in helping clients navigate financial complexities, reduce balance sheet stress, generate cash, minimize costs, and find optimal capital sources to achieve their business objectives. Position Summary
As a Senior Associate – Deal Advisory (Restructuring), you will help clients manage financial challenges, optimize cash flow, reduce costs, and explore innovative capital solutions. You will gain exposure to a broad mix of complex and challenging transactions, working closely with a range of clients, including private companies, public sector entities, private equity firms, leading financial institutions, and high-net-worth individuals.
This role requires a strategic mindset, strong analytical skills, and the ability to navigate complex financial scenarios. You will work with a team of talented professionals, leveraging your expertise to improve outcomes for our clients, people, and practice.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Financial Restructuring & Advisory:
- Help clients reduce balance sheet stress, generate cash, reduce costs, and identify optimal capital sources to support business objectives.
- Provide strategic advice on financial restructuring, corporate workouts, and pre-insolvency planning.
- Case & Risk Management:
- Day-to-day case management of administrations, liquidations, and other corporate insolvency processes.
- Identify risk issues and ensure timely escalation to senior management.
- Ensure 100% compliance with statutory deadlines on cases.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including remote colleagues, external lawyers, agents, and key creditors.
- Develop and present client materials such as status reports, project reports, and presentations.
- Leadership & Team Development:
- Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to junior team members.
- Review the work of junior members and provide training where necessary.
- Foster a collaborative environment to achieve shared goals.
- Project Management & Delivery:
- Actively participate in the hands-on delivery of projects, including program design and development, stakeholder management, and risk and issue management.
- Maintain relationships with key client contacts and support business development efforts.
- Business Development:
- Assist in the preparation of proposals to target clients and support business development initiatives.
- Continuously seek new and innovative ways to improve client outcomes.
Academic/ Professional Qualifications and Experience:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional Qualifications:
- Professional certifications such as ACCA, CFA, or CPA are highly advantageous.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 4-6 years of relevant experience.
- Experience working in a Big Four firm or a similar professional services organization is preferred.
- Proven experience in financial due diligence, corporate insolvency cases, and restructurings (both out-of-court and in-court procedures) is a plus.
