Job Description
- Mobilize peer educators for AYFS activities at the youth corner and other key events.
- Mobilize participants for any meeting and training with directives from the project assistant, project officer or project manager.
- Participate in organizing venue for any activity to be done.
- Attend internal and represent Amref Health Africa in external meetings as deemed necessary.
- Keep all project document (Attendance lists, payment forms and others) safe for immediate and future use.
- To attend advocacy meetings on SRH&R at community levels together with the project assistant.
- Must adhere to Amref code of conduct.
- Participate in any other activity assigned to him/her by any Amref Staff.
- Documentation of activities in terms of photographing, writing stories among others.
- Write a narrative report of any activity implanted or attended and submit to the project assistant.
- Conduct stakeholders mapping and report findings to the project assistant.
- Organize FP events and private sector FP reports.
- Mentor peer educators on CSE, SRH&R and the FP program.
Qualifications
- Diploma or certificate in health-related fields.
- At least one (1) years of professional experience in peer education, CSE, SRHR, GBV response in a humanitarian setting.
- Knowledge of South Sudan Health system and health policy environment
- Excellent planning and organizing skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast face environment.
- Should have knowledge in at least one area of SRHR including Peer Education, FP, MISP, AYFS etc.
- Good understanding of SRHR initiative and programmes including CSE, EUP Campaign.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Computer skills especially MS Word and MS Excel, among others;
- A good understanding of community health systems especially Boma Health initiative.
- Demonstrated initiative and attention to detail;
- Excellent Oral and written communication in English.
- Ability to travel in remote places within South Sudan
- Fluency in the local Arabic.
