Job Description
The Process Operator plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth production processes within our manufacturing facility. The primary responsibilities include operating the process area according to set work instructions, performing both destructive and non-destructive quality checks, and executing autonomous maintenance activities. The Process Operator is expected to have a strong focus on quality control and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Equipment Monitoring & Maintenance:
- Evaluate equipment conditions and recommend corrective action to maintenance staff.
- Ensure all equipment runs at recommended speeds to maximize efficiency and meet production demands.
- Provide secondary support for equipment maintenance and respond to breakdowns.
- Manage equipment upgrades and technological advancements for assigned machinery.
- Quality Assurance & Hygiene Compliance:
- Conduct quality control checks, ensuring all products meet company and industry standards.
- Maintain high levels of hygiene in work areas and equipment.
- Ensure proper handover of equipment in a hygienic and functional condition to the next shift.
- Comply with Coca-Cola Beverages Africa’s quality system requirements.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Adhere to all company health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Ensure machinery is in proper working condition to prevent safety hazards.
- Follow standard operating procedures and report any deviations.
- Operational Efficiency:
- Work efficiently to meet production targets while minimizing downtime.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams and other departments to improve process efficiency.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production performance.
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of beverage manufacturing processes is an added advantage.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- Educational Background:
- A BSc Degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science and Technology, or Chemical Engineering.
