TEACHING POSITIONS
1. Lecturer/Research Fellow (Biomedical Sciences) – AC 12 (1 Position)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lecturing in area of specialization in accordance with the syllabus.
- Coordinating course projects and practical work.
- Preparing teaching/learning materials.
- Setting, invigilating, and marking examinations/assignments.
- Conducting research in the relevant field.
- Preparing student progress reports.
- Developing proposals for research funding.
- Writing journal articles and books.
- Presenting academic papers at conferences.
- Developing and reviewing academic programs/curricula.
- Supervising Tutorial/Junior Research Fellows and students.
2. Tutorial/Junior Research Fellow (Kiswahili) – AC 11 (1 Position)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lecturing in area of specialization up to the Bachelor’s level.
- Preparing teaching/learning materials.
- Setting, invigilating, and marking examinations/assignments.
- Conducting research under the guidance of a Senior Lecturer.
- Preparing student progress reports.
- Preparing publications and/or books.
ADMINISTRATIVE POSITION
1. Senior Accountant – AD 13 (1 Position)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Interpreting, advising, and implementing government financial policies.
- Spearheading financial management and accounting procedures.
- Overseeing preparation of annual financial statements.
- Ensuring compliance with financial reporting guidelines.
- Preparing and implementing financial manuals and procedures.
- Authorizing payments and ensuring compliance with expenditure limits.
- Monitoring timely production of financial reports.
- Instituting accounting and internal control procedures.
- Ensuring proper accounting of donor and government grants.
- Planning and coordinating external audits.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- Lecturer/Research Fellow and Senior Accountant positions are on permanent and pensionable terms, subject to satisfactory performance.
- Tutorial/Junior Research Fellow position is a one-year renewable contract, based on performance.
HOW TO APPLY
Each application must include a detailed CV with three referees, copies of academic and professional certificates, national ID/passport, testimonials, and other supporting documents.
Successful applicants will be required to provide:
- Clearance from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).
- Clearance from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).
- Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
- Clearance from a Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
- Certificate of Good Conduct from the Criminal Investigation Department.
