Job Objective
Reporting to the Public Relations Officer, the position holder will be responsible for the following:Duties and responsibilities
- Managing alumni relations including recruitment, events, and communication.
- Driving alumni activities including fundraising activities.
- Drafting and editing press releases, media statements, newsletters, and speeches, as well as monitoring media coverage.
- Managing social media content and assisting in digital communications to enhance the universities online presence.
- Conducting customer satisfaction surveys to assess public perception and improve communication strategies.
- Event management and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
- Updating and maintaining the university website with relevant news, events, and announcements.
- Any other duty that may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor.
Qualification and experience
- Bachelors degree in Public Relations, Communications, or a related field from an accredited or recognised university.
- At least 1 year of experience in stakeholder relations management, PR, Communications, or Media.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and storytelling skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion and skills for stakeholder engagement.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
- Registration to a professional body will be an added advantage.
