Role Overview

The Full Stack Developer will play a critical role in designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-level software systems that streamline hospital operations and enhance user experience. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with a cross-functional team to create robust applications using both frontend and backend technologies.


Key Responsibilities

As the Full Stack Developer, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Software Development & Programming
    • Provide application programming and enhancements for the hospital management information system (HMIS).
    • Develop custom in-house applications based on user needs and current trends in hospital information systems.
    • Deliver high-quality, scalable code in technologies such as Node.js, Python, Ruby, or Java.
  2. User Consultation & Requirement Gathering
    • Collaborate with end-users to understand operational requirements and translate them into system functionalities.
    • Clarify program objectives, identify challenges in current procedures, and propose viable software solutions.
  3. Frontend Development
    • Implement intuitive and user-friendly interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
    • Ensure that the user interface design aligns with accessibility and usability standards.
  4. Backend & Database Integration
    • Develop and maintain backend systems ensuring smooth integration with front-end components.
    • Manage database development and administration using MariaDB and MySQL.
    • Ensure real-time data integrity and seamless performance in live and test environments.
  5. Documentation & Technical Writing
    • Write clear technical documentation for all applications including user guides and operating procedures.
    • Maintain detailed system configuration documentation and liaise with third-party application consultants when necessary.
  6. System Assessment & Enhancement
    • Evaluate new software initiatives and propose upgrades or custom applications to improve efficiency.
    • Make data-driven recommendations for new technologies and integration to meet the hospital’s evolving IT needs.
  7. Support & Troubleshooting
    • Provide advanced-level support and troubleshooting for all internal systems.
    • Investigate and resolve issues related to application functionality and performance.
  8. Quality Assurance & Testing
    • Conduct thorough testing and validation of new features and system updates.
    • Assist in verifying data integrity and identifying data quality issues.
  9. Project Participation & System Design
    • Contribute to the design and development of new systems and features.
    • Participate in the creation of system design documents and functional specifications.
  10. Integration & Maintenance
    • Support the development and maintenance of application and database integrations across hospital systems.
    • Ensure the consistency and reliability of APIs and web services.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in ICT or a related field in computer studies.
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in a software development role.
  • Proven ability to develop full stack applications with modern frontend and backend technologies.
  • Proficiency in:
    • Programming languages (Node.js, Python, Ruby, or Java)
    • Frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js)
    • Database management (MySQL, MariaDB)
    • Version control tools and Git workflows
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
