1. Specialist Data Engineer (KE)
Job Description:
As a Specialist Data Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing data pipelines and architectures to support Absa’s data initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable data solutions and ensure the efficient movement of data across various systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines for efficient data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
- Implement data security protocols, data quality checks, and governance frameworks.
- Work closely with data scientists and analysts to ensure reliable data availability.
- Optimize data workflows for performance, scalability, and fault tolerance.
- Maintain detailed documentation for data architecture and ETL processes.
- Support cloud migration strategies for data systems and tools.
2. Ecosystem Lead Generator (2-Year Fixed Term Contract)
Job Description:
This role is crucial in driving customer acquisition and engagement across the branch’s ecosystem. As an Ecosystem Lead Generator, you’ll proactively identify business opportunities within local communities and onboard new clients to Absa’s product and service offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and engage with potential clients in the branch’s surrounding ecosystem.
- Generate leads through community outreach, events, and business forums.
- Promote Absa products including current accounts, savings, loans, and insurance.
- Build strong networks with key local influencers, businesses, and organizations.
- Track and report lead conversion metrics regularly.
- Ensure customer onboarding processes align with compliance standards.
3. SME Relationship Manager – Voi
Job Description:
As the SME Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of SME clients, driving financial growth through targeted business development and client relationship management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with SME clients to ensure satisfaction and retention.
- Identify business opportunities within the SME segment and propose appropriate banking solutions.
- Manage credit applications, risk analysis, and loan portfolio performance.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored financial solutions.
- Provide business advisory services to enhance client growth and sustainability.
- Ensure full compliance with risk management frameworks and policies.
4. Head, Global Markets Sales – Retail and Business Banking (RBB)
Job Description:
This senior leadership role is responsible for leading the Global Markets Sales function for Retail and Business Banking. The incumbent will ensure effective delivery of market-facing sales strategies and oversee the structuring of investment and treasury solutions for RBB clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the RBB Global Markets sales team across Kenya.
- Develop and implement strategic sales initiatives to grow revenue and client share.
- Build deep relationships with key clients, offering solutions in FX, fixed income, and derivatives.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align product offerings with customer needs.
- Monitor market trends, client behavior, and competitor activity.
- Drive performance targets while ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks.
5. Business Development Manager – Bancassurance
Job Description:
The Business Development Manager – Bancassurance is responsible for expanding the bank’s insurance business through strategic partnerships and targeted business development. This role supports insurance sales, product enhancement, and revenue growth through innovation and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive insurance product sales across the bank’s distribution channels.
- Develop marketing campaigns to grow market penetration and product awareness.
- Build partnerships with insurance providers and internal stakeholders.
- Train relationship managers and sales teams on insurance product knowledge.
- Monitor and evaluate product performance and recommend improvements.
- Ensure compliance with insurance regulatory standards and bank policies.
