OPEN POSITION: DRIVER
Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will report directly to the HR and Administration Manager and will play a key role in ensuring efficient and secure transport services across the organization. This position demands someone who is dependable, organized, and familiar with transportation logistics and vehicle management.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
The Driver will be responsible for a variety of critical functions related to transportation and fleet management. These include but are not limited to:
- Vehicle/Fleet Management
- Ensure assigned vehicle is properly maintained.
- Maintain daily vehicle records including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents.
- Monitor vehicle servicing and schedule regular maintenance to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Transportation and Logistics Coordination
- Manage logistical aspects of transportation for personnel and materials.
- Coordinate with departments to schedule timely pickups and drop-offs.
- Ensure routes are optimized for safety, speed, and efficiency.
- Reliable and Secure Driving Services
- Provide timely and secure driving services to employees and visitors.
- Ensure personal safety of passengers and goods.
- Adhere to traffic laws and internal policies during all trips.
- Vehicle Documents and Supplies Management
- Ensure the availability and validity of essential documents such as licenses, insurance, and inspection certificates.
- Monitor vehicle supplies including first-aid kits, emergency tools, and fuel levels.
- Other Duties
- Perform additional administrative or logistical duties as assigned.
- Assist with errands and support general office tasks when needed.
Person Specifications
Qualifications
- Secondary Education
- Valid Driver’s License
Experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of proven hands-on experience in a similar driving role.
Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of accuracy in documentation and reporting.
- Familiarity with vehicle maintenance and minor repair.
- Professional attitude and understanding of confidentiality and protocol.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently under pressure.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills.
- Good understanding of transportation safety and security measures.
- Knowledge of administrative procedures and ability to follow rules and regulations.
