About the Role
As BURN’s new Chief Information Officer, you will lead the charge in digital innovation, overseeing the end-to-end delivery of IT operations, ERP/CRM integration, and software development initiatives. This role is designed for a senior technology executive with a solid track record in transforming IT infrastructures and aligning digital strategies with business goals. You’ll be at the helm of multi-regional teams and platforms, ensuring seamless integration of systems, secure data flows, and a top-tier user experience.
This is a leadership role that blends strategic vision with hands-on execution across software, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and call centre technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders and global teams to ensure BURN continues to scale with resilience and digital excellence.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Software Development Leadership
- Direct the complete software development lifecycle—from design through to deployment.
- Manage and mentor cross-functional engineering teams across front-end and back-end functions.
- Work collaboratively with product owners, UI/UX designers, and stakeholders to ensure business needs are reflected in technical solutions.
- Develop and implement technical architecture strategies that support business objectives and innovation.
- Maintain a scalable and secure code base that supports ongoing global growth.
2. ERP & CRM Systems Integration
- Oversee integration and enhancements of ERP and CRM platforms including Buisy and Nexus.
- Ensure a seamless connection between ERP, CRM, and business intelligence systems (e.g., Microsoft BI) to facilitate real-time insights and analytics.
- Collaborate with Sales, Carbon, and Customer Experience departments to automate workflows, train users, and increase CRM adoption across the business.
- Lead projects for customisation, upgrades, and system optimisations.
3. IT Governance & Global Operations
- Manage BURN’s IT infrastructure across all regions, including data centres, cloud platforms, and networks.
- Ensure 24/7 support availability across global time zones, and lead initiatives to optimise IT performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Drive IT localisation to meet regional requirements, including language support, payment systems, and mobile network operator (MNO) integrations for IoT devices.
- Develop and enforce IT policies, processes, and service-level agreements with vendors and third-party providers.
4. Cybersecurity & Risk Management
- Design and implement a robust cybersecurity framework aligned with global best practices and local regulations.
- Monitor, assess, and mitigate IT and data-related risks continuously.
- Promote a culture of data privacy, cyber hygiene, and compliance across the organisation.
- Lead incident response and disaster recovery initiatives to ensure business continuity.
5. Call Centre Technology Management
- Implement and optimise call centre platforms that support omnichannel communications—voice, chat, email, and social media.
- Drive integration between call centre software and CRM to improve visibility and agent performance.
- Deploy AI-based tools such as chatbots, predictive routing, and sentiment analysis to enhance customer service and reduce operational costs.
- Partner with customer experience leaders to monitor and improve key performance indicators like SLA compliance and CSAT scores.
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery for call centre operations.
Required Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated leadership in global software development, IT operations, and multi-disciplinary team management.
- Expertise in ERP/CRM systems integration and workflow optimisation.
- Strong technical background in cloud infrastructure, network architecture, and cybersecurity.
- Experience in implementing omnichannel call centres and AI-driven technologies for customer engagement.
- Skilled in strategic planning, digital transformation, and data-driven decision-making.
- Familiarity with manufacturing or asset-intensive industries is an added advantage.
