Role Overview

As a Sales Agent, you will play a vital role in bringing Synnefa’s innovative agricultural products to farmers across Kenya. You will be the face of our solutions, directly engaging with farmers, building trust, and providing hands-on support as they adopt our technologies. Your contribution will help shape a tech-driven agricultural sector that is more productive, sustainable, and profitable.


Job Description

1. Sales Execution

  • Drive sales of Synnefa products — including Smart Greenhouses, FarmShield, and FarmCloud — from lead generation to final sale.
  • Consistently meet and exceed monthly sales targets.
  • Offer post-sale support to ensure client satisfaction and retention.

2. Training & Onboarding

  • Educate farmers on how to use Synnefa products.
  • Assist farmers in setting up accounts and guide them through the onboarding process on FarmCloud.

3. Farmer Engagement

  • Actively source, connect, and build relationships with farmers, agricultural cooperatives, and local influencers within your assigned territory.
  • Promote awareness and adoption of Synnefa’s solutions through face-to-face interactions.

4. Product Promotion

  • Conduct product demonstrations to showcase the benefits of FarmShield, FarmCloud, and Smart Greenhouses.
  • Represent Synnefa at farmer meetings, agricultural forums, and trade events.

5. Lead Management

  • Generate and qualify leads from your field interactions.
  • Maintain a database of high-potential prospects and regularly follow up to convert leads into sales.

6. Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions, training sessions, and lead progress.
  • Submit weekly progress reports to your Technical Sales Lead.

7. Market Feedback

  • Collect insights and feedback from farmers on Synnefa’s products and relay them to internal teams.
  • Participate in strategy development to improve product relevance and customer experience.

Working Conditions

This is a remote, field-based position. As a Sales Agent, you will spend most of your time on the ground — traveling within your assigned region to meet farmers, demonstrate products, and close sales. You’ll be expected to visit farms, cooperatives, and community groups regularly, typically from Monday to Friday.

This hands-on role is ideal for individuals who enjoy connecting with people, are self-motivated, and thrive in dynamic, real-world settings.
