1. Senior Programme Officer – Grand Challenges Africa

Role Overview
The Senior Programme Officer (SPO) will play a central role in delivering high-impact work within the SITE programme under the Grand Challenges Africa initiative. This role requires strategic oversight and programme implementation expertise, with a particular focus on innovation delivery, partnership development, and results-driven project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the development and implementation of strategic initiatives under GC Africa.
- Guide the development of calls for proposals, manage review processes, and support decision-making on awards.
- Supervise and mentor a team of Programme Officers and Associates to ensure successful delivery of programme outcomes.
- Manage relationships with stakeholders including innovators, partners, funders, and governments.
- Monitor and evaluate programme performance and impact, ensuring compliance with internal and donor requirements.
- Represent GC Africa at regional and international meetings and present programme findings and insights.
- Contribute to resource mobilization efforts by preparing technical content for proposals and engaging with potential funders.
