Position Overview
The Content Development Assistant will be a key player in the Advancement Division, supporting the university’s efforts in both fundraising and marketing communications. Detailed Job Description
The Content Development Assistant will take on a variety of responsibilities, which include but are not limited to the following:
1. Visual Content Creation
- Design and produce a wide array of visual and multimedia content for use across digital and print platforms.
- Develop creative assets to support key university initiatives such as fundraising campaigns, donor engagement, student recruitment drives, institutional events, and marketing campaigns.
- Create videos, presentations, brochures, flyers, infographics, web banners, and social media visuals that enhance AMIU’s brand visibility.
2. Support to Fundraising & Partnerships
- Develop visual materials for use in donor communications, including but not limited to donor proposals, donor impact reports, stakeholder presentations, and appeals for funding.
- Collaborate with the Fundraising & Partnerships Officer to create branding materials for campaigns, scholarship drives, and capital initiatives.
- Assist in producing visually compelling content that tells the AMIU story to partners, alumni, and the wider philanthropic community.
3. Marketing and Communications Design
- Work with the Marketing & Communication Officer to deliver content for digital campaigns, website updates, social media engagement, and email marketing.
- Design promotional items and branded merchandise for the university, ensuring all materials align with AMIU’s branding guidelines.
- Develop banners, roll-ups, posters, and digital signage for events such as conferences, lectures, public forums, and graduations.
4. Brand Management
- Ensure strict adherence to AMIU’s visual identity and editorial standards across all platforms and communication materials.
- Contribute to brand enhancement by continuously innovating and adopting contemporary design styles that reflect AMIU’s dynamic presence.
5. Digital Asset Management
- Maintain and organize a centralized digital content library, which includes photos, videos, design templates, and other visual resources.
- Ensure all assets are easily accessible to relevant staff members and consistently updated to reflect the university’s evolving messaging.
6. Event Coverage and Real-Time Content
- Support live coverage of events through photography, videography, and immediate social media content generation.
- Prepare pre- and post-event visual content to highlight AMIU’s involvement, impact, and thought leadership.
7. Innovation and Trend Monitoring
- Stay up to date on design and media trends to improve AMIU’s content quality and engagement levels.
