As Chief of Staff, you will serve as a trusted advisor and execution partner to the CEO, acting as a force multiplier to enhance organizational effectiveness across strategic, cultural, and operational domains. This role is integral to aligning executive leadership on critical initiatives, enhancing internal communications, and ensuring the rhythm and clarity of team engagement.
You will also work closely with the Chief Operating Officer and other leaders within CrossBoundary Energy and the wider CrossBoundary Group. This is a highly visible role that will shape the future of CrossBoundary Energy by enabling better decisions, driving cross-functional alignment, and amplifying the CEO’s effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Executive Support
- Partner with the CEO to set and maintain a focused executive agenda, aligned with the firm’s long-term vision and strategic goals.
- Lead the preparation, execution, and follow-through of high-impact leadership meetings, ensuring alignment, accountability, and actionable outcomes.
- Help clarify priorities for the CEO and manage the flow of strategic initiatives requiring leadership oversight.
- Internal Communications and Engagement
- Lead the design and delivery of weekly All Hands meetings, using them as a strategic channel to reinforce vision, celebrate achievements, and foster an inclusive company culture.
- Craft clear, compelling internal communications that inform and inspire, in collaboration with senior leadership.
- Develop and facilitate engagement forums that enhance cross-functional collaboration and provide clarity on company objectives.
- Leadership Team Coordination
- Drive the planning and execution of senior leadership team meetings, including crafting agendas that focus on solving the firm’s most pressing challenges.
- Support the CEO in managing and motivating the leadership team to ensure cohesive direction and execution.
- Maintain a high-functioning operating rhythm across the firm by managing quarterly planning cycles, tracking commitments, and identifying bottlenecks.
- Culture and Organizational Development
- Act as a culture steward, supporting the CEO in shaping and institutionalizing a values-driven, inclusive, and performance-oriented organizational culture.
- Lead or support the design and rollout of systems, rituals, and practices that build cultural alignment and reinforce organizational identity.
- Support the creation of learning and development initiatives, internal knowledge sharing, and systems that enhance team performance.
- Project Management and Operational Efficiency
- Lead or contribute to cross-functional projects of strategic importance to the CEO and senior leadership.
- Manage workflows, track progress on high-priority initiatives, and ensure successful execution of projects with cross-departmental impact.
- Help streamline internal processes, remove obstacles, and introduce improvements to make the organization more agile and effective.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as a liaison between the CEO and internal/external stakeholders, managing expectations and ensuring clear, consistent communication.
- Provide high-level support in managing strategic partnerships, board communication, and key external engagements.
- Facilitate decision-making by bringing clarity to complex issues, synthesizing information, and presenting recommendations.

- Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead initiatives from concept through to implementation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple high-stakes tasks simultaneously.
Preferred (but not required)
- Experience working in or with organizations focused on private capital and underserved markets.
- Prior experience in developing countries and an understanding of their economic and energy contexts.
- Familiarity with CrossBoundary’s business model and platforms.
