1. Tupande Procurement Specialist – Strategy & Capability
Location: Kenya

The Tupande Procurement Specialist – Strategy & Capability will play a pivotal role in transforming procurement systems and aligning sourcing functions with Tupande’s long-term strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in strategic procurement management and systems development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional strategic sourcing projects, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and value for money.
  • Develop procurement strategies that drive efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to assess procurement needs and create sourcing plans accordingly.
  • Enhance procurement systems and tools to enable more data-driven decision-making.
  • Design and implement frameworks to measure supplier performance and procurement impact.
  • Promote best practices in procurement operations and build internal capacity through training and mentorship.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, donor requirements, and local regulations.
  • Contribute to the development of a world-class procurement function that supports Tupande’s growth ambitions.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in procurement, supply chain, or strategic sourcing roles.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional projects and improving procurement systems.

2. Senior DevOps Engineer
Location: Kenya or Rwanda

As the Senior DevOps Engineer, you will lead One Acre Fund’s DevOps team in enhancing system reliability, deploying scalable infrastructure, and streamlining workflows. You will play a key role in ensuring the performance, security, and availability of mission-critical applications that support field teams and backend operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the DevOps team in maintaining and scaling cloud-based infrastructure using tools such as AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Drive continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) practices to improve development workflows.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to build automation pipelines for code testing, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Ensure systems are secure, compliant, and optimized for performance.
  • Implement and refine logging, monitoring, and alerting systems to ensure quick response to production incidents.
  • Work closely with developers and IT teams to improve reliability and scalability of internal applications.
  • Champion infrastructure-as-code principles and guide architecture design for new systems.

3. Tupande Market Access Associate
Location: Kenya

The Tupande Market Access Associate will play a key role in expanding opportunities for smallholder farmers to access high-value markets. This role requires strategic thinking, coordination across diverse teams, and a deep understanding of agricultural value chains.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement strategies that enable farmers to sell their produce more profitably through formal markets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with market players, including aggregators, processors, and retailers.
  • Coordinate internal teams to pilot, scale, and refine market access initiatives.
  • Monitor market trends, identify new opportunities, and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Lead cross-functional projects that require close collaboration with agronomy, logistics, and technology departments.
  • Ensure that farmer needs remain central to market access strategies.
  • Develop performance metrics to assess and improve program outcomes.
  • Use data to drive decision-making and propose innovative solutions to market access challenges.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in project management, agribusiness, or market systems development.
  • Experience coordinating teams in a fast-paced environment.

4. Tupande Soko Chief of Staff
Location: Kenya

The Chief of Staff for Tupande Soko will support the leadership in driving strategic initiatives, managing execution, and enhancing internal coordination. This is a critical role for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about organizational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Tupande Soko leadership team in setting and executing strategic priorities.
  • Act as a thought partner to senior leaders, facilitating effective planning and performance tracking.
  • Coordinate project timelines and workflows across departments.
  • Ensure that communication flows efficiently between senior leadership and broader teams.
  • Assist in creating clear decision-making processes and tracking accountability.
  • Drive the design and implementation of organizational change initiatives.
  • Develop and manage internal reporting tools to support performance evaluation.
  • Help streamline operations and eliminate roadblocks to project delivery.

Requirements:

  • At least 4 years of experience in project management, consulting, or strategic operations.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

5. Financial Planning and Reporting Analytics Specialist
Location: Kenya

The Financial Planning and Reporting Analytics Specialist will be an integral member of the Global Finance Advisory Services (FAS) team. The role is ideal for a finance professional with a strong background in data analytics and business intelligence, focused on improving financial transparency and planning processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and financial reports using BI tools.
  • Translate financial data into actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Partner with global and regional teams to standardize reporting processes.
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis in response to programmatic or operational changes.
  • Improve the automation and scalability of financial reporting tools.
  • Train and support teams across the organization in using financial data for planning.

Requirements:

6. Tax Lead
Location: Kenya or Rwanda

The Tax Lead is a senior role responsible for ensuring tax compliance across all One Acre Fund entities. This individual will manage complex tax issues, collaborate with country teams, and provide strategic guidance on tax planning and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure tax compliance across all jurisdictions where One Acre Fund operates.
  • Coordinate the preparation and filing of tax returns and related documentation.
  • Advise senior leadership on local and international tax laws and their implications.
  • Manage tax audits and liaise with tax authorities as needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax regulations in Kenya, Rwanda, and other operating countries.
  • Review and implement tax risk management strategies.
  • Work closely with finance teams to integrate tax considerations into financial planning and transactions.
  • Provide training and capacity building to finance staff on tax-related matters.
  • Lead tax reporting during internal and external audits.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in corporate tax planning and compliance.
  • Strong familiarity with East African tax regulations and international tax practices.
