- Provide ongoing guidance and field support to these agents to ensure their productivity aligns with regional targets.
- Quickly resolve bottlenecks or issues hindering lead generation and customer acquisition.
4. Team Management and Performance Leadership
- Supervise and support a team of Sales and Marketing Associates focused on small to mid-sized farms.
- Facilitate weekly Performance Dialogues (PDs) with individual team members to assess progress, coach on challenges, and plan next steps.
- Conduct monthly or quarterly reviews to evaluate performance against KPIs, recommend improvements, and strengthen accountability.
- Reinforce compliance with defined sales procedures and continuously improve operational consistency across the team.
- Organize both virtual and in-person team meetings to maintain cohesion, build morale, and align on sales strategies.
5. Direct Sales to Large Farms
- Build and maintain a qualified pipeline of large commercial farms within your area of operation.
- Develop strong relationships with key decision-makers (owners, managers, agronomists) of these farms.
- Deliver compelling sales pitches tailored to the needs and operational scale of each large farm.
- Coordinate trial setups when needed and guide the buyer through all phases of adoption.
- Close sales, monitor purchase behavior, and encourage repeat and bulk purchases over time.
6. Reporting, Administration, and Coordination
- Submit timely and accurate weekly reports that cover sales data, accounts receivables, lead activity, and other relevant KPIs.
- Conduct in-depth root-cause analysis on any deviations from targets and propose corrective or preventive actions.
- Ensure timely order placements and payments from distributors to maintain adequate stock flow and prevent stockouts.
- Work closely with the Accounts Receivable and Distribution Teams to manage order fulfillment and ensure timely delivery of fertilizer and other products.
