- Basic Salary: Kshs. 33,900 per month
- House Allowance: Kshs. 7,500 per month
- Commuter Allowance: Kshs. 4,000 per month
- Leave Allowance: Kshs. 4,000 (Payable once annually)
- Access to Mortgage and Car Loan Facilities: Subject to SRC guidelines

Duties and Responsibilities
The Receptionist II will be a key figure in managing the face of the County Assembly by serving as the first point of contact for visitors and internal stakeholders. The role will report to the relevant administrative officer and entails the following core responsibilities:
- Maintaining a Daily Record of Visitors’ Details
The receptionist will be responsible for accurately logging all visitors to the County Assembly premises. This includes collecting essential information such as name, contact details, and purpose of visit in a secure and confidential manner. Maintaining this record supports security protocols and aids in administrative tracking. - Manning the Reception Desk
The receptionist will ensure that the front desk is always manned during official working hours. This includes being punctual, professionally presented, and adequately equipped to handle a variety of reception-related tasks. The individual will be expected to project a courteous and efficient image of the institution. - Maintaining Good Ambience in the Reception Area
Creating a welcoming environment is essential. The receptionist will ensure that the reception area is clean, orderly, and presentable at all times. They will coordinate with cleaning and support staff where necessary and ensure that visitors have a positive first impression of the County Assembly. - Responding to Visitors’ Queries
The successful candidate will handle a wide range of inquiries, both in person and over the phone. They will provide accurate information, address concerns, and, where necessary, refer visitors to the appropriate departments. Strong interpersonal communication skills and knowledge of the Assembly’s services are essential in fulfilling this duty. - Recording and Confirming Visitors’ Appointments

Requirements for Appointment

- Academic and Professional Training
- A Diploma in any of the following fields is acceptable: Customer Service, Public Relations, Hospitality Management, Communication Management, Event Management, Front Office Operations, or a related qualification from a recognized institution.
OR - A Certificate in any of the above fields from a recognized institution with at least two (2) years of relevant work experience in a similar front office or customer service role.
- A Diploma in any of the following fields is acceptable: Customer Service, Public Relations, Hospitality Management, Communication Management, Event Management, Front Office Operations, or a related qualification from a recognized institution.
- Educational Background
- A Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) is required as the minimum academic threshold.
- Technical Proficiency
- Possession of a Certificate in Computer Applications from a recognized institution. This ensures the candidate can competently utilize office software and digital tools required in the course of reception duties.
