Duties and Responsibilities
This position represents the entry grade for individuals within this cadre. Officers appointed at this level will undergo job training and will be responsible for undertaking simple tasks in repair and maintenance works. These tasks will be carried out under close supervision from more experienced officers and will be aligned with the officer’s area of specialization, namely plumbing and pipe fitting.
Specifically, the role involves:
- Assisting senior officers in repair and maintenance works.
- Carrying out simple repair and fitting duties under supervision.
- Participating in plumbing and pipe fitting works as instructed.
- Learning standard procedures, safety measures, and work practices under the guidance of experienced staff.
- Undertaking minor repair works that contribute to the efficient operation of plumbing and piping systems.
- Supporting general maintenance work in public facilities under supervision.
