Job Purpose
The Front Office Officer will be the face of the hospital, providing professional front office and customer care services. This role involves warmly welcoming patients, visitors, and clients, managing inquiries, ensuring smooth communication, and providing administrative support at the reception. The officer will also support hospital processes such as registration, billing, and appointment management.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and receive patients, clients, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
- Handle telephone calls promptly, directing inquiries to the right departments and relaying accurate messages.
- Register patients, verify personal details, and update hospital records in compliance with procedures.
- Guide patients through consultations, admissions, billing, and discharge processes.
- Ensure safe handling, filing, and confidentiality of patient documents at all times.
- Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate with various departments to avoid delays.
- Handle billing queries, issue receipts, and liaise with the finance/accounts department on payments.

Job Title: Laundry Personnel
Reports to: Housekeeping & Laundry Supervisor
Location: Nairobi Adventist Hospital
Job Description
Laundry services are essential for maintaining hygiene and infection control in a healthcare setting. The Laundry Personnel will be responsible for ensuring that hospital linen, staff uniforms, and patient garments are properly cleaned, disinfected, and maintained according to hospital standards. The role directly contributes to infection prevention and a safe hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron hospital linen, staff uniforms, and patient garments.
- Operate and maintain laundry machines and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Use appropriate detergents, disinfectants, and cleaning agents for optimal hygiene.
- Adhere to infection prevention and control (IPC) protocols when handling contaminated linen.
- Ensure timely delivery of clean linen to relevant hospital departments.
- Monitor laundry supplies and notify the supervisor of replenishment needs.
- Report worn-out linen, machine malfunctions, or damages promptly.
- Carry out other laundry-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Requirements
- KCSE Certificate or equivalent.
- Certificate in laundry services, housekeeping, or relevant training (advantageous).
- At least 1 year of experience in laundry operations, preferably in hospitals or hotels.
- Knowledge of infection prevention and control practices is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate laundry machinery and handle linen with care.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be a committed Seventh-day Adventist.
