Waiter / Waitress – Training Kitchen

Job Purpose

The Waiter/Waitress will support the Training Kitchen by providing excellent table service to guests and patrons during scheduled meal services. The individual will be responsible for facilitating smooth front-of-house operations, ensuring that all guests receive timely, professional, and courteous service. This position is suited to candidates passionate about hospitality and committed to supporting students in a live-service training environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests and ensure they are seated promptly and in a professional manner.
  • Provide detailed information about menu offerings, explaining meal components and answering guest questions as required.
  • Take guest orders accurately and communicate them clearly to the kitchen staff.
  • Serve food and beverages efficiently, observing service protocols and presentation standards.
  • Monitor guest needs during meal service and provide assistance or adjustments where necessary to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the dining area, including tables, chairs, floors, and service stations.
  • Clear used dishes, utensils, and glassware promptly after meals, ensuring minimal disruption to other guests.
  • Work closely with kitchen and instructional staff to support student-led food service sessions.
  • Assist with setting up the dining area before service and resetting afterward, including polishing cutlery, folding napkins, and arranging tables.
