The Academy is now seeking a driven and highly organized Associate, Shamiri Academy to join its Founder’s Office team. The Associate will play a central role in implementing, managing, and improving Shamiri Academy’s training programs—ranging from workshops and masterclasses to accredited diploma programs.

About the Role

The Associate, Shamiri Academy is a pivotal team member within the Train unit, tasked with leading the execution of Shamiri’s training and capacity-building strategy. This role is central to the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of training programs, ensuring that every learning initiative is effective, scalable, and aligned with Shamiri’s mission.

As an Academy Associate, you will manage the full training lifecycle: from developing and refining training content, to overseeing its delivery, evaluating its effectiveness, and integrating learnings into future programs. You will also manage Shamiri’s Learning Management System (LMS), support accreditation processes, and act as the bridge between Shamiri Academy and external stakeholders such as partners, government agencies, and learners.

Ultimately, your work ensures that Shamiri Academy remains a trusted and contextually relevant source of high-quality mental health training.

Roles and Responsibilities

Strategic & Program Execution

  • Collaborate with the Academy team to design and execute Shamiri’s training roadmap.
  • Oversee the rollout and coordination of training courses, including masterclasses, workshops, certificate programs, and diploma-level courses.
  • Support onboarding of internal teams, partners, and learners into Shamiri’s training ecosystem.

Training Materials Oversight & Quality Assurance

  • Oversee the creation, refinement, and regular updating of training content to ensure it meets pedagogical standards.
  • Conduct periodic quality assurance reviews of both content and delivery methods.
  • Ensure that all training materials remain relevant, contextually appropriate, and effective.

LMS Administration (Talent LMS)

  • Manage and update Shamiri’s Learning Management System.
  • Upload new content, revise existing modules, and manage user accounts.
  • Administer assessments and troubleshoot technical issues to maintain a smooth learner experience.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting

  • Track and analyze training metrics including attendance, engagement, and completion rates.
  • Gather feedback from participants and generate actionable insights.
  • Produce comprehensive reports on training outcomes and effectiveness.
  • Implement robust quality assurance processes.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as the main liaison between Shamiri Academy and external partners, learners, and field teams.
  • Coordinate closely with hub coordinators, fellows, supervisors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective training rollout and follow-up.

Government & Regulatory Engagement

  • Act as Shamiri’s point of contact with government bodies such as TVET CDACC and TVETA.
  • Support accreditation processes and ensure compliance with national education and training standards.
  • Proactively coordinate communication to align Shamiri’s programs with regulatory requirements.

Logistics & Documentation

  • Maintain an organized repository of training resources, including session recordings, handouts, and reports.
  • Support scheduling of training sessions and allocation of resources.

Professional Growth & Institutional Learning

  • Stay informed about emerging trends in mental health training, youth development, and digital learning.
  • Participate in workshops, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
  • Contribute insights that strengthen Shamiri’s institutional knowledge.
