At Hillcrest International Schools, we believe that learning extends far beyond the classroom walls. Our commitment to excellence is not only reflected in the education we provide to our students but also in the professional growth and development opportunities we extend to our staff.

We are more than just a school – we are a community dedicated to supporting teachers, nurturing talent, and creating an environment where both students and staff can thrive. Our approach is comprehensive: we provide a rich professional development programme, access to international training networks, and leadership pathways that empower our team members to grow and advance in their careers.

Supporting Our Teachers

Professional development is at the core of our educational philosophy. Our staff benefit from a wide range of training opportunities, both locally and internationally. These include InSeT (In-Service Training), leadership programmes, and partnerships with globally recognised institutions. Notably, we are proud providers of the International Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCEi) in partnership with the University of Nottingham, giving educators in our network the chance to strengthen their teaching credentials while remaining within the region.

We also enjoy strong affiliations with educational associations in both Kenya and Tanzania. These networks ensure continuous learning, exposure to best practices, and the sharing of innovative ideas that enhance the teaching and learning environment at Hillcrest.

Life Outside the Classroom

Our schools are strategically located in international hubs that offer more than just a workplace. Living and working with us provides opportunities for adventure and exploration. With white sandy beaches, breathtaking game parks, and Africa’s tallest mountains nearby, staff enjoy a lifestyle enriched with travel, sport, and cultural experiences. Social opportunities are plentiful, ensuring a well-rounded and fulfilling life outside of school hours.

This holistic balance of professional advancement and personal enrichment makes Hillcrest International Schools a desirable destination for educators and professionals seeking to make an impact while experiencing the best that East Africa has to offer.
