SAP FICO ANALYST
Madison Group Limited operates through two insurance subsidiaries in life and general businesses and an Investment management subsidiary, all based at the Group Headquarters in Upper Hill, Madison House, Nairobi.
Job Summary
Reporting to the ICT Manager, the SAP FICO Analyst is responsible for providing support for the day-to-day operations of the Madison Group SAP system and more specifically, the Finance and Controlling (FICO) module. The jobholder is also responsible for SAP FICO configuration and SAP FICO user management. The role supports all SAP users and ensures continuous improvement of the SAP System in line with the Group’s strategic objectives.
Duties and responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements related to financial accounting and controlling processes and translate them into SAP FICO functional specifications.
- Configure SAP FICO modules (GL, AR, AP, AA, CO-OM, CO-PC, CO-PA) to meet business needs.
- Support integration of SAP FICO with other SAP modules such as MM, SD and core insurance systems.
- Perform system testing, integration testing and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Work with end-users and business stakeholders to identify process improvements and automation opportunities.
- Support month-end and year-end financial closings and reporting requirements.
- Provide Level 2 and 3 support to users for SAP FICO issues. Train key users and end users on SAP FICO processes.
- Collaborate with ABAP developers for custom reports, enhancements, and interfaces. Coordinate with SAP consultants, developers, and Basis team to deliver system changes
- Ensure configurations and transactions are aligned with IFRS 17, local accounting standards and internal audit controls.
- Maintain up-to-date process documentation and user manuals.
- Participate in SAP upgrades, patching, and enhancement projects

- Experience with common information management frameworks, such as International Standards Organization (ISO) and IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
Requisite Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Information Systems or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience as a SAP FICO Analyst or an SAP FICO Consultant
- Proven experience managing digital platforms (web/mobile/API) in a high- availability environment.
- Familiarity with financial reporting tools like SAP BW, SAP S/4HANA or SAP Analytics Cloud is an added advantage.
- Experience in the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) sector will be an added advantage.
