Job Purpose
The Outbound Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the dispatch operations within the warehouse. The position ensures that all customer orders are processed accurately, dispatched on schedule, and delivered in excellent condition. The supervisor will also play a key role in resource utilization, ensuring the efficient use of trucks, minimizing transport costs, and maintaining safety standards throughout the dispatch process.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Order Processing and Dispatch Coordination
The Outbound Supervisor will oversee the entire process of outbound goods, ensuring all orders are processed, verified, and dispatched accurately within the set timelines. This includes maintaining close coordination with the warehouse team to ensure that every order aligns with customer requirements and delivery schedules. - Order Accuracy Assurance
The role demands strict attention to detail in verifying order accuracy before dispatch. The supervisor must ensure that all items leaving the warehouse match the sales orders and dispatch manifests. Skills and Qualifications
Qualification:
- A minimum of a Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience and Key Skills:
- Proven exposure to warehouse operations, procedures, and inventory control techniques.
- At least three years of hands-on experience in warehousing and stock control within a formal setup.
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) software for order processing, inventory management, and dispatch operations.
- In-depth knowledge of the logistics process from order entry to final delivery.
- Familiarity with automated warehouse inventory systems, particularly Orion, will be an added advantage.
