We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Medical Officer In-Charge to provide leadership and oversight of all medical services within the hospital. This pivotal role serves as the Medical Superintendent, responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered healthcare while maintaining operational excellence and regulatory compliance.
Job Description
The Medical Officer In-Charge will lead the hospital’s medical services department, overseeing the day-to-day operations of clinical, diagnostic, and pharmaceutical functions. The role involves supervising medical staff, coordinating clinical activities, and ensuring that all services meet the highest quality and safety standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing administrative and clinical leadership to ensure efficient hospital operations.
- Implementing quality improvement initiatives in line with hospital and business objectives.
- Supervising medical teams, ensuring adherence to professional and ethical standards.
- Managing diagnostic and pharmacy services to optimize patient care and resource utilization.
- Developing and enforcing medical protocols, policies, and standards of care.
- Overseeing patient management, ensuring timely and effective service delivery.
- Supporting staff training, mentorship, and performance management.
- Promoting collaboration across departments to achieve institutional goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBChB).
- Minimum of 3 years post-internship experience.
- Certification in BLS, ATLS, and ACLS is required.
- Strong medical practice, patient management, quality management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Demonstrated business acumen, leadership, and communication skills.
