Job Description
The intern will work under the guidance of the Communications and Programme Support teams to enhance visibility, stakeholder engagement, and awareness of UN-Habitat’s initiatives. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in drafting, editing, and producing communication materials such as press releases, newsletters, social media content, and website updates.
- Supporting the organization of outreach campaigns, media events, and communication activities to promote UN-Habitat programmes and projects.
- Conducting research on communication trends, media coverage, and public engagement strategies related to urban development and sustainability.
- Assisting in maintaining communication databases, media contact lists, and digital archives.
- Supporting visual content creation, including graphics, photos, and videos for digital platforms.
- Coordinating internal and external communication between departments, partners, and stakeholders.
