Job Description
The Environmental Affairs Intern will support UNEP’s environmental initiatives through research, technical support, and content development. Responsibilities include gathering and analyzing environmental data, preparing background materials, and contributing to policy summaries, thematic briefs, and knowledge products used in programme planning and reporting.
The intern will help track environmental trends, assist in drafting reports and meeting notes, and contribute to coordination of events, workshops, and awareness activities. Additional duties include organizing reference materials, supporting stakeholder engagement processes, and contributing to internal and external communication materials that highlight UNEP’s work.
The role involves close collaboration with programme officers, technical experts, and project teams.
