Pursuant to the provisions of Article 235 of the Constitution of Kenya and Section 59 of the County Governments Act chapter 265 of the laws of Kenya, Nakuru County Public Service Board invites applications from qualified Kenyan citizens to fill the following vacant positions

POSITIONS

1. Clerical Officers
   These officers will manage routine office tasks including filing, record keeping, retrieving documents, data entry, handling correspondence, and supporting administrative workflows.
2. Support Staff
   Support Staff will handle cleaning, messenger duties, office arrangement, errands, and maintaining hygiene and overall physical order of the work environment.
3. Administration Officer
   This role involves coordinating administrative activities, supervising office operations, record management, preparing reports, supporting departmental programs, and enhancing workflow efficiency.
4. Office Administrative Assistant
   Responsibilities include preparing correspondence, scheduling meetings, managing office diaries, handling visitors, organizing documents, and supporting senior staff with daily administrative tasks.
5. Drivers
   Drivers will transport staff and materials, complete route logs, maintain vehicles in good condition, observe traffic rules, and support logistical operations across departments.
6. ICT Officers
   These officers will support ICT systems, networks, and hardware; troubleshoot technical issues; manage data systems; maintain equipment; and support digital operations within county departments.
7. Ambulance Driver III
   The officer will drive emergency ambulances, assist in patient evacuations, maintain emergency vehicle readiness, and support medical response operations.
8. Cook III
   Cooks will assist in meal preparation, maintain kitchen hygiene, prepare ingredients, follow standard recipes, and support delivery of meals in county facilities.
9. Mortuary Attendant III
   Responsibilities include receiving and preserving bodies, maintaining mortuary cleanliness, assisting in body preparation, and maintaining mortuary documentation.
10. Registered Nurse III
    Nurses will assess patients, administer treatments, record patient information, monitor vital signs, support clinical procedures, and participate in patient education.
11. HR Management Officer
    The role involves maintaining employee records, supporting recruitment processes, handling HR documentation, coordinating staff welfare matters, and implementing HR policies.
12. Assistant Engineer II (Structural)
    The officer will support structural engineering works including reviewing plans, conducting site inspections, preparing technical reports, and supervising assigned construction activities.
13. Trade Development Officer
    Responsibilities include supporting trade promotion initiatives, assisting SMEs, coordinating market research, and implementing county programs aimed at stimulating local commerce.
14. Medical Specialist I – Anaesthesiology
    The specialist will provide anaesthesia services, conduct pre-operative assessments, monitor patients during surgery, and support recovery procedures.
15. Medical Specialist I – Dermatology
    This role includes diagnosing and treating skin conditions, offering specialist consultations, conducting dermatological procedures, and supporting clinical training activities.
16. Medical Officer
    Medical Officers will diagnose and treat patients, conduct ward rounds, perform minor procedures, keep clinical records, and participate in preventive health services.
17. Dental Officer
    Responsibilities include dental examinations, extractions, fillings, oral health education, community outreach, and management of dental patient records.
18. Registered Clinical Officer II
    The officer will provide primary health services including patient diagnosis, treatment, minor surgical procedures, and referrals where necessary.
19. Hospitality Officer II
    This role involves guest reception, accommodation coordination, housekeeping oversight, and ensuring high-quality hospitality services within county facilities.
20. Nutrition and Dietetics Technologist III
    Responsibilities include counselling patients on nutrition, assessing dietary needs, preparing diet plans, and supporting community nutrition programs.
21. Assistant Physiotherapist III
    The officer will support physiotherapy services, guide patients through rehabilitation exercises, prepare treatment areas, and maintain therapy equipment.
22. Assistant Health Records and Information Management Officer III
    Duties include collecting, filing, retrieving, updating, and safeguarding patient records, as well as supporting health information reporting.
23. Medical Laboratory Technologist III
    Responsibilities include collecting samples, conducting laboratory tests, recording results, maintaining diagnostic equipment, and supporting clinical decisions.
24. Health Administrative Officer I
    This officer will oversee administrative operations in health facilities, manage staff coordination, prepare reports, and support overall health service management.
25. Assistant Public Health Officer III
    This role includes participating in public health inspections, disease surveillance, sanitation promotion, and public health awareness activities.
26. Community Oral Health Officer III
    The officer will conduct oral screenings, offer preventive oral health care, support community outreach, and provide basic dental treatments.
27. Occupational Therapist III
    Duties include conducting patient assessments, preparing rehabilitation plans, supporting functional training, and maintaining therapy documentation.
28. Therapy Radiographer
    Responsibilities include offering radiotherapy services, operating radiotherapy equipment, supporting treatment planning, and ensuring patient safety.
29. Radiographer III
    Radiographers will operate imaging equipment, prepare patients for imaging procedures, maintain imaging quality, and support diagnostic services.
30. Dental Technologist III
    The officer will fabricate dental prostheses, maintain dental laboratory equipment, and support dental officers in patient care.
31. Medical Engineering Technologist III
    Responsibilities include maintaining medical machinery, performing technical checks, troubleshooting faults, and supporting installation of medical devices.
32. Orthopaedic Trauma Technologist III
    Duties include assisting in orthopaedic procedures, preparing plaster equipment, supporting patient positioning, and maintaining sterile instruments.
33. Pharmaceutical Technologist III
    The officer will dispense medicines, manage inventory, record prescriptions, and support pharmaceutical care in health facilities.
34. Medical Social Worker III
    Responsibilities include psychosocial assessments, counselling, discharge planning, linking patients to community support systems, and assisting families in coping with medical conditions.
