The Role Purpose
The role is responsible for driving the development and execution of a comprehensive wellness strategy that fosters a healthy and supportive work environment.
The Key Responsibilities
It involves leading the design and implementation of programs and policies that promote the total well-being of employees. The Wellness Manager will take a strategic approach to ensure wellness initiatives align with organizational goals, enhance productivity, employee engagement, and overall job satisfaction. They will lead efforts to create a holistic wellness culture that reflects the bank’s core values and supports the well-being of the entire workforce
Core Accountabilities and Deliverables
- Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive wellness strategy that aligns with the company’s overall employee well-being goals.
- Ensure the effective and sustainable implementation of wellness initiatives while managing resources and staying within budget.
- Oversee the design, rollout, and monitoring of a variety of wellness programs, including Men and Women Club activities, chronic disease management, and employee assistance programs among others
- Foster cross-functional collaboration to integrate wellness initiatives into the company culture and day-to-day operations.
- Develop and implement internal communication strategies to effectively promote wellness programs and drive employee participation.
- Promote a positive wellness culture through regular communication of program benefits, success stories, and educational resources.
- Lead the development and delivery of educational resources and workshops on various health and wellness topics
- Provide one-on-one support to employees with specific health or wellness concerns, offering guidance, resources, workplace adjustments, and referrals to appropriate services.
- In liaison with Employee Relations Managers and the Health and Safety Manager, develop and sustain an enabling work environment for staff.
- Monitor, track, and analyze employee participation, feedback, and health outcomes to evaluate the effectiveness of wellness initiatives.

- Familiarity with wellness management software and platforms
- Ability to create and manage wellness budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources
Qualifications
Experience Requirements
- A minimum experience of 7 years in wellness
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft office suite and packages
Academic Qualifications and Certifications
- Degree holders in the medical field (nursing/clinical medicine/public health).
- CHRP is an added advantage
