The Digital Health Agency (DHA) is a government entity mandated to lead the digitalization of the public health sector in Kenya. The Agency is established under Part II of the Digital Health Act, 2023, with the mandate to develop, operationalize, and maintain a secure, comprehensive, and integrated health system through the management of core digital health systems and infrastructure. The Agency is currently undertaking an elaborate process to digitize the health ecosystem, which is a key enabler in the realization of Universal Health Coverage.
The State Department for Medical Services and the DHA, acting as the implementing agency, entered into an agreement with the Safaricom Consortium under the Healthcare Information Technology Digitalization for Universal Healthcare Project and established a Project Management Office to oversee the implementation of the project.
To strengthen system utilization and provide on-the-ground support to health facilities, the project seeks to recruit qualified and motivated County Digital Health Support Officers who will be deployed at the county level.
Accordingly, the project seeks to recruit qualified and competent persons to fill the following vacant positions in the Project Management Office on a two-year contract, renewable subject to performance and project needs:
- Project County Support Officer – 47 positions
- Project County Assistant Support Officer – 23 positions
