About the Role
As a Software Quality Analyst at BURN Manufacturing, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, functionality, and performance of our software products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain effective quality assurance processes that enhance the user experience and improve overall software efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Test Planning
- Collaborate with development and product teams to create comprehensive test plans that align with project requirements.
Test Case Design and Execution
- Design, develop, and execute test cases to verify software functionality, performance, reliability, and compatibility.
Defect Identification and Tracking
- Identify, document, and track software defects using a bug-tracking system.
- Work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.
Regression Testing
- Conduct regression testing to validate that software changes have not adversely affected existing functionality.
Automated Testing
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency and expand test coverage.
Performance Testing
- Conduct performance testing to assess the scalability and responsiveness of software applications.
Collaboration
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to ensure alignment with project goals and requirements.
Quality Metrics and Reporting
- Monitor and report on key quality metrics, providing regular updates to project stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of best practices within the Quality Assurance (QA) team.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as a Software Quality Analyst or similar role.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
- Experience with both manual and automated testing tools.
- Ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Knowledge of performance testing and familiarity with tools like JMeter.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
