1. School of Pure and Applied Sciences (UoEm/SPAS/01/2025)
We are inviting applications for the positions of Professor, Associate Professor, Senior Lecturer, and Lecturer in the following specialized areas:
- Cyber Security
- Actuarial Science
Job Description:
- Conduct lectures, seminars, and tutorials in the specified subject areas.
- Engage in research activities to contribute to the development of knowledge in Cyber Security and Actuarial Science.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students’ research projects.
- Provide academic leadership and mentorship to students and junior faculty members.
- Participate in curriculum development and review to enhance program delivery.
- Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at academic conferences.
- Collaborate with industry stakeholders to bridge the gap between academia and industry needs.
2. School of Education and Social Sciences (UoEm/SESS/01/2025)
Applications are invited for the positions of Professor, Associate Professor, Senior Lecturer, and Lecturer in the following fields:
- Hospitality and Tourism Management
- Criminology and Security Management
Additionally, we are seeking a Tutorial Fellow in Criminology and Security Management.
Job Description:
- Deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in Hospitality and Tourism Management and Criminology and Security Management.
- Conduct innovative research to enhance knowledge in the specified fields.
- Supervise and mentor undergraduate and postgraduate students in their academic pursuits.
- Develop and review curricula to ensure the courses are relevant to industry standards.
- Publish scholarly articles in reputable journals and present research findings at conferences.

3. School of Nursing (UoEm/SON/01/2025)
We are looking for Professors, Associate Professors, Senior Lecturers, and Lecturers in the following areas:
- Community Health
- Public Health
- Nursing
There is also a vacancy for a Tutorial Fellow in Nursing.
Job Description:
- Teach and facilitate learning in Community Health, Public Health, and Nursing courses.
- Conduct research to address emerging health challenges and contribute to health policy formulation.
- Mentor and supervise postgraduate students’ research work.
- Develop, review, and update the nursing curriculum to meet the evolving healthcare needs.
- Participate in community outreach programs to promote public health awareness.
- Publish research findings in accredited health journals and share knowledge at seminars.
- Collaborate with health institutions for experiential learning and research partnerships.
4. School of Law (UoEm/SOL/01/2025)
The University of Embu is seeking Professors, Associate Professors, Senior Lecturers, Lecturers, and Tutorial Fellows in Law.
Job Description:
- Deliver lectures and engage students in interactive legal education.
- Guide students through moot court sessions and legal clinics to enhance practical skills.
- Conduct research in various fields of law to contribute to legal scholarship.
- Supervise postgraduate research projects and dissertations.
- Participate in curriculum development to integrate contemporary legal issues.
- Publish articles in respected legal journals and present at legal symposia.
- Provide academic advising and mentoring to nurture legal practitioners.
B. Non-Teaching Positions
1. Driver II – Grade 3/4 (UoEm/TD/01/2025)
Job Description:
- Drive university vehicles to facilitate official assignments, ensuring the safety of passengers and goods.
- Conduct routine vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and report any defects.
- Maintain a logbook for each trip, including fuel consumption and mileage.
- Ensure the cleanliness and good condition of the vehicles.
- Assist in loading and offloading of goods and materials as required.
- Comply with traffic laws and university transportation policies.
- Perform other driving-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
- Applicants should be in possession of a valid driver’s license class A B C E, or for smart driving license B, C1, C, D1, D2, D3.
- Must have at least five (5) years of accident-free continuous driving experience.
- Should possess a valid certificate of good conduct from the Kenya Police.
- Demonstrated ability to drive buses and lorries is required.

2. Technician IV (Farm Machinery) – Grade 5/6 (UoEm/FMT/01/2025)
Job Description:
- Operate, repair, and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
- Assist in agricultural engineering practical sessions for students.
- Conduct routine checks and preventive maintenance of machinery.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance schedules.
- Provide technical support during field demonstrations and workshops.
- Ensure safety standards are adhered to during the operation of machinery.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural Mechanics, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of three (3) years relevant post-qualification work experience.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license class G.
- Computer proficiency is required.

3. Technician II (Media Laboratory) – Grade 5/6 (UoEm/MLT/01/2025)
Job Description:
- Operate and maintain media production equipment such as cameras, microphones, audio mixers, and lighting systems.
- Support the setup of media laboratories and broadcast studios.
- Assist students and faculty in media production and editing tasks.
- Ensure equipment is in good working condition through regular maintenance.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to media production and IT systems.
- Conduct training sessions on the use of media equipment and software.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Mass Media, Journalism, or Media/Broadcast Technology.
- At least three (3) years relevant work experience in a media lab or broadcast studio.
- Proficiency in audio and video editing software.
- Basic understanding of IT systems and networking for media production.
