Kenya Broadcasting Corporation is a State Corporation established under the KBC Act (Cap. 221) and operating under the Ministry of Information, Communications and the Digital Economy. The Corporation is committed to excellence in broadcast services to its audience, customers and the public. The mandate of the Corporation is to inform, educate and entertain the public through Radio services, Television services and Digital media platforms.
The Corporation is seeking to engage two (2) qualified and motivated interns to undertake internship programme for a maximum (non-renewable) period of twelve (12) months in the Legal and Television Services Departments as per the outlined basic requirements:-
1. Legal Department – 1 position
Minimum requirements:
a) Bachelor’s Degree OR Diploma in Law from a recognized Institution
b) Must be computer literate
c) Strong drafting, report writing, planning and organisational skills.
2. Television Services Department (Y254 TV Channel) – 1 position
Minimum requirements:
a) Bachelor’s Degree OR Diploma in Journalism, Mass Communication, or
Television Production from a recognized Institution
b) Must be computer literate
c) Strong writing , creativity, editing and analytical skills.
Other requirements:
a) Kenyan youth aged between 21 and 34 years
b) Have graduated from College / University not earlier than the year 2020
c) Must attach copies of certificates, academic transcripts, updated curriculum vitae, national identity card or passport alongside the application letter.
Upon successful selection and intake, the intern will be required to submit copies of the following documents:-
a) Personal accident insurance cover for the entire period of internship b) Medical insurance registration under SHA or any other reputable medical insurance firm
c) PIN certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority
d) NSSF card
e) Two coloured passport photographs
f) Bank account details
g) Certificate of good conduct.
