Job Description
As a Consumer Banking Officer, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with retail customers, delivering high-quality banking services, and promoting the bank’s products and services to meet set targets. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing customer satisfaction, increasing product uptake, and supporting the bank’s strategic growth at the branch level.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personalized banking services to walk-in clients and proactively manage customer relationships.
- Promote and cross-sell retail banking products and services such as current accounts, savings accounts, debit/credit cards, personal loans, and digital banking tools.
- Execute account opening procedures in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Offer advisory services on financial products based on client needs, ensuring the highest standard of customer care.
- Meet individual sales targets and contribute to branch targets through effective sales campaigns and lead generation.
- Follow up with clients on pending documentation, transactions, and queries to ensure timely resolution.
- Assist in branch operations including customer inquiries, transaction processing, and documentation handling.
- Monitor and manage client accounts to identify business opportunities, prevent delinquency, and reduce service-related complaints.

Job Description
The Senior Relationship Officer – Business Banking is tasked with developing and managing relationships with SME and corporate clients in the Nairobi and Pwani regions. This role is central to driving the growth of the business banking portfolio, offering tailored financial solutions, and maintaining high client satisfaction levels through consistent, value-added service.
Key Responsibilities
- Acquire, develop, and manage a portfolio of SME and mid-sized corporate clients to drive business growth and profitability.
- Conduct thorough needs assessments to provide financial products and services that align with client business requirements.
- Originate and execute lending proposals including credit analysis, structuring, and submission for approval in line with risk and compliance policies.
- Manage the full credit lifecycle for business clients, from proposal development through disbursement and post-disbursement monitoring.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling a wide range of banking products including trade finance, working capital solutions, overdrafts, and digital business tools.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery and fostering long-term business relationships.
- Monitor account performance, address risk indicators, and initiate remedial actions where necessary to safeguard the bank’s interests.
- Coordinate with internal departments including credit, legal, operations, and risk to ensure timely resolution of client issues.
