KUCCPS is currently seeking to fill the following positions:


1. Deputy Director, Legal Services

Grade: KUCCPS 03
No. of Vacancies: 1

Job Description:
The Deputy Director, Legal Services will be responsible for providing strategic leadership in the Legal Services Division. The role involves ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks, offering legal advisory services, and representing KUCCPS in legal matters. The position holder will also be instrumental in drafting and reviewing contracts, preparing legal opinions, managing litigation, and advising the management and Board on legal matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advisory services to the organization on all matters.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and coordinate the preparation of legal documents including contracts, MoUs, and policies.
  • Represent KUCCPS in courts and legal proceedings.
  • Monitor and advise on emerging legal issues and their implications on the operations of KUCCPS.
  • Liaise with external legal counsel on complex legal matters.
  • Supervise, mentor, and guide legal department staff.

2. Principal Planning, Risk and Quality Assurance Officer

Grade: KUCCPS 05
No. of Vacancies: 1

Job Description:
This position involves overseeing the coordination of corporate planning, risk management, and quality assurance functions within KUCCPS. The Principal Officer will ensure that strategic objectives are effectively translated into actionable plans and that risk and quality management frameworks are implemented and adhered to across all departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the development and monitoring of the organization’s strategic and operational plans.
  • Implement risk management frameworks and policies.
  • Conduct risk assessments and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and enforce quality assurance mechanisms and internal controls.
  • Compile and analyze performance data to support continuous improvement.
  • Lead organizational performance reviews and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Prepare periodic reports on planning, risk, and quality assurance.

3. Principal Internal Auditor

Grade: KUCCPS 05
No. of Vacancies: 1

Job Description:
The Principal Internal Auditor will support the internal audit function by conducting audits, reviews, and assessments to ensure that the internal controls and processes are effective, efficient, and aligned with the organizational goals. This role is key in providing independent assurance on the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and conduct internal audits to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls.
  • Evaluate the reliability and integrity of financial and operational information.
  • Identify risks and propose practical mitigation strategies.
  • Assess compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to management.
  • Monitor implementation of audit recommendations.
  • Assist in developing the internal audit annual work plan.

Additional Information

Applicants for the above positions must be ready to fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010, which include:

  • A valid Police Clearance Certificate from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations
  • A valid Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
  • A current Tax Compliance Certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
  • A valid Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
  • A Report from an Approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)

These documents will be required only from successful candidates before appointment.
