The French Embassy in Kenya is recruiting a consular agent on a fixed-term contract starting August 1, 2025.
The agent’s main tasks are:
Registration of French people living outside France in the register and monitoring of the consular electoral roll;
Monitoring of social affairs files (school grants, CROUS grants, files from the Consular Council for Protection and Social Action, assistance to French people in difficulty, etc.)
Monitoring of mutual legal assistance files
Drafting of correspondence to institutions
Monitoring of the generic service box;
Pairing of the agent in charge of the administration of French people (civil status, nationality, certifications, passport and national identity card applications, etc.)
Profile
Good command of English and perfect command of French;
Discretion and confidentiality required;
Self-control, ability to welcome and communicate with the public;
Ability to work in a team;
Rigor and sense of organization;
Good command of office automation;
Knowledge of the French social system is an asset.
Terms
Position start date: August 1st or September 1st, 2025 at the latest;
12-month fixed-term contract under local law, renewable, 3-month trial period;
Gross monthly salary: KES 421,845
Working hours:
Monday to Thursday: 8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. – Friday: 8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Location: French Embassy in Kenya – Peponi gardens, off Peponi Road – Nairobi
